Learns best with information that is presented visually. Notices details and how things look. Notices how people look- hairstyle, clothes, makeup or jewelry- or the way a room is decorated. Responds with “Let me read it myself…” or “Show me a picture…”
How You Should Study:
• Make outlines and lists of information
• Make and use flashcard to study
• Highlight information, color code notes, use sticky notes
If you have more “b” answers, you are an AUDITORY Learner.
Receive information through their ears and enjoys listening, talking or discussion. Thinks out loud. Easily distracted by noises. Needs quiet to study. Likes to debate, do public speaking, or make oral presentations.
How You Should Study:
• Repeat out loud or have someone read notes out loud to you
• Make rhymes or poems to remember information
• Record and listen to class lectures
If you have more “c” answers, you are a TACTILE Learner.
Learns best by using hands and fingers. If you read or hear something, you have to write it down to remember. Also receive information through your feelings. First thing you notice is how the place or person makes you feel.
How You Should Study:
• Write down everything on the board
• Read information and take notes on key points
• Act out the word, information, fact
If you have more “d” answers, you are a KINESTHETIC Learner.
Receives information through your large-muscle movements. Learn best by doing, movement, and by activity. Need to learn by exploration, active movement, and discovery. Have a difficult time sitting still.
How You Should Study:
• Study in short periods
• Act out the word, information, fact
• Move around while reading information
• Use flash card
If you have a tie, you have strengths in two areas.
You may have two scores that are close too, showing a dominant sense and a secondary strength.
